The idea for Pinboard came from a conversation between three parents about a problem.

Overwhelmed by an excess of reply-all emails and lengthy WhatsApp threads from the school community, messages were getting lost, missed or ignored…
Yet there was fantastic information at everyone’s finger tips, and a human longing for a supportive, positive community.

We asked ourselves:

“How could communication be more simple and civilized ?”
“Which medium is easiest to use? What won’t disappear or get lost?”

Our solution:

A single weekly email that everyone could post to, arriving at the same time each week,  literally a pinboard in digital form.
To join, you must to be a parent at the school. And that means you know these people, you want to ask questions, you want to share. It is a trusted place.
